Our Covid-19 Response

-In the Capistrano Villas neighborhood of San Juan Capistrano where we are located, between 80-90% of residents have lost income due to COVID-19.
-Many residents, even some US citizens, are not eligible for a federal stimulus check, and the CA cash payment will only reach 10% of our state’s undocumented tax-payers.
-Unidos is providing hot meals and grocery boxes, but families are still struggling to survive this crisis.
-Because of the generosity of many individuals and foundations, we have been able to launch the Unidos COVID-19 Crisis Support Fund to help alleviate some of the pain in our community.

Our committee of Neighborhood Leaders is reviewing applications and vetting each one through home visits and an extensive relational network to make sure that our first cash disbursements go to those who are in the most need.

-We will continue to reach more people in need throughout this crisis. Ongoing donations are appreciated.
-Because of gracious donors covering our operating costs, 100% of the Crisis Support Funds will go directly to families impacted by this crisis.
