Art in the Summertime

This year we had decided to provide a 6 week art class for our elementary students. But a few weeks before the summer started, we had not yet found volunteer art teachers!

Out of the blue, I crossed paths with a group called Canvas Kidz from the Dragon Kim Foundation. They completely went above and beyond for our kids, providing an immense amount of supplies for the kids (and taking them with them so I don’t have to worry about our VERY limited space at Casa Unidos). They bought way too many snacks and were able to feed parents and even kids riding by on their bikes. It truly exceeded my expectations and I am so excited to see what art projects they bring to life in the following weeks!
