Holy Week and the work of love

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”   John 15:13

This verse is often read on Good Friday, a day that holds the weight of suffering, betrayal, and death, but also the depth of love and commitment.

At Unidos, we are not called to literal sacrifice, but we are asked, every single day, to lay down our comfort, our time, and our assumptions for the sake of others. For the sake of justice.

Jesus’ radical love was not only personal; it was social. He stood with the marginalized, challenged oppressive systems, and believed in a world where everyone was seen, fed, healed. That vision didn’t die with Him.

It lives on in the ways we continue to fight for dignity, equity, and care in our neighborhoods. It shows up in volunteers offering thier time, students dreaming bigger, parents speaking up for change.

As we move through this season, I hope we remember that resurrection isn’t only about what happens after death, it’s about what we choose to breathe life into every day.
Thank you for being part of this community. Thank you for believing in love that shows up, again and again.
