John is the resident Plate Spinner who keeps everything moving. His energy and love for people build an organizational culture that is full of life. John holds an MA in Education and an MA in Christian Ministry. He is an ordained minister of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

CO-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Heather’s recently received masters degree from North Park Theological Seminary confirmed what her heart always knew: that God takes personally what happens on the margins. She combines this faith with her experience in nonprofit organizational development to cultivate a movement that shifts power and ignites hope.

Maritza Rebollar
DIRECTOR OF YOUTH PROGRAMMING
Maritza is a first generation graduate with an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts. She is pursuing Paralegal Studies and holds an Urban Youth Worker Certification. Martiza’s passion is the empowerment of youth, especially children of immigrants, with whom she has worked for over eight years. She is actively engaged in building community leadership in the Mexican-American community.

EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Luz has lived in the San Juan Capistrano community for the past 28 years. Having come to the USA when she was only 10 years old and growing up in the Capistrano Villas has given Luz personal experience and insight into the struggles that many families face. This gives Luz the compassion, love and understanding necessary to help make a difference in the lives of others.

Meet Ester, a lifetime resident of San Juan Capistrano. Graduating with a bachelor's degree in Criminology from California State University, Long Beach, Ester brings a blend of academic knowledge and genuine empathy to the forefront. With extensive involvement in ministry work, they have honed their ability to connect and understand. Rooted in a deep desire for fairness, Ester is committed to standing alongside our neighbors, addressing injustices and inequities with a friendly demeanor, and contributing to the betterment of our community.

SARAH ARCE
ELEMENTARY COORDINATOR
A first-generation student, Sarah holds a Bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies, coupled with minors in Spanish Studies and Public Service & Community Engagement, from the University of San Francisco. She pursued her passion for education and housing policy, earning a Master's degree in Public Policy from UCI. Having grown up facing and understanding similar hardships as the students she works with, she is to dedicated to ensuring young students have the necessary resources for a successful academic journey. Sarah brings several years of experience working with young students in San Juan Capistrano.
