Hispanic Heritage Month

Mrs. Nicole Iribone, a teacher at Marco Forster Middle School, has been inviting Hispanic professionals to be interviewed by middle school students for Hispanic Heritage Month. Several of our team had the opportunity to participate. As the kids started filing into the room—about 30 in total, they realized that more than a dozen of the students were program participants with Unidos.

Sarah, Ester and Maritza answered questions about our work, aspirations, and the importance of having people who look like us, speak like us, and share our backgrounds. It was a great opportunity to connect with the students!
